Who is Eligible for the Tennessee Promise?
To be eligible for the Tennessee Promise, students must meet the following requirements:
- Attend a public high school in Tennessee for at least one semester prior to applying
- Graduate from a Tennessee public high school or homeschool with a 2.0 GPA or higher
- Attend one of Tennessee’s participating community colleges for the first two years of college
- Complete eight hours of community service each year
Students who meet these requirements will receive free tuition and fees at their chosen community college.
